Crowned the third Singapore Idol in December 2009, Sezairi has won the hearts of many with his boy-next-door charm. Frequently touted as being not only a singer but a great performer and musican, Sezairi is in no means short of talent.
Inheriting genes from his father, an avid audiophile, Sezairi first discovered music at the tender age of only 5 years old. His very first song was Isabella, a Malay rock song popularised by the band Search in the 90s. He soon found himself sharing the same love for music.
At the age of 14, he picked up the guitar to accompany his singing which soon led him to play in small pop ensembles. This then led to the forming of his band Juxtapose, with him as frontman. Here, he was first able to hone his skills as not only a musician, but a songwriter.
Since then, he hasn't stopped wow-ing audiences and his run on the hit TV series Singapore Idol is testament to that.
"I sing from somewhere most performers forget to, the heart" And that is exactly what he's looking forward to delivering in the coming months when he's to record his debut album, to sing, from the heart.
After much anticipation, Singapore hears Sezairi Sezali's winning song, "Touched By An Angel" is on 987FM Top 20 Chart.
Many would remember the moment when Sezairi's name was announced as the new Singapore Idol. His smooth vocals and feisty performance at the grand finals wowed the crowd and awed the three Singapore Idol judges: Dick Lee, Florence Lian and Ken Lim.
The newly crowned Singapore Idol has recorded the song, "Touched By An Angel" - a wonderful mid-tempo ballad, that is penned and produced by Ken Lim. The track is released digitally and for fans alike to download as mobile ringtone.
"Touched By An Angel" is currently blazing through different radio stations in Singapore. It debuts at number 16 position last week, on 987FM Top 20 Chart.
It is certain; the winning song touches the nation's heart and soul. More details of Sezairi Sezali's new album will follow.
"Touched By An Angel" is currently available digitally on SingTel, M1, Starhub, Nokia Music Store, Sony Ericsson's Play Now Plus and other digital stores.
